Julia’s mom spent a lot of time explaining relationships. She emphasized that our relationship with God is the only one that’s guaranteed; we can rely upon the Lord completely.

Doesn’t it feel great to know that God will always be with you? He’ll never turn from you or leave you all alone. Never. No matter what you do, no matter what happens to you, God is with you.

…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me? Hebrews 13:5b-6 (AMP)

Unlike imperfect people, God will never let us down.

Journal to the Lord about these powerful verses. Take time to read through them slowly, thinking about each statement. Thank Him for loving you so much, for promising to never leave you or relax His hold on your life. Write to Him about what those promises mean to your heart. If you’ve been fighting alarm, fear, or dread in some area of your life, give it over to the Lord, knowing that the God of the universe is your helper.
