Not Alone

When we’re going through our “stuff” in life, it can feel like we’re all alone, the only one to go through something this difficult or painful. But really, lots of other women have.

I’m always amazed when I talk with teens & women who’ve read our Mr. Right Series novels, how many have gone through the same things as Julia and her friends. Many have said to me, reading Julia’s story was like reading my own. (Maybe not each detail of her story, but parts that really struck a chord with the reader.) One girl (from Project Inspired’s book club) wrote, “I am 100% Julia…”

So, when you read our novels, did you see yourself in any of those pages? Did you relate to Julia or any of the other characters? Did they encourage you that you are not alone in the issues you face? That life happens to all of us? Even Jesus had to deal with temptation and pain while He lived here on the earth! He knows just how to help us with ours.

If you’re going through a tough time or difficult issue, reach out! There are others around you who have fought similar battles. They have hearts that genuinely understand what you’re dealing with and can share how they made it through.

If you aren’t fighting any current battles, reach out to others who are! We need each other in life, to believe in one another, stand side-by-side, overcome difficulties together, and get to the places God has prepared for each of us.

A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12.

When life gets hard, please don’t think you’re alone. You’re not! You are precious to your Heavenly Father. He has you in the palm of His hand, and if you let Him, He’ll bring the comfort and answers you need to navigate rough waters. God believes in you! My mom and I believe in you! And if you’ll reach out to people around you, you’ll see that others believe in you, too…

What do we often remind you on this blog? A very important truth: You are loved, and you are not alone!

Praying for you,
